Hi, I am new to this and am trying to find various relatives from Anglesey.
To start with I am hoping to trace my grandfathers sister MARGARET JANE WILLIAMS.
Born Llangeinwen 1868 : Parents Owen Williams and Jane Owen.
Can find her in censuses for 1871/81/91/1901 but no trace since.
She was unmarried in 1901 and a dressmaker.
Has anybody any ideas what I can do next?

their children:
Owen David Williams born 1831 Anglesey and died 1907 Australia

What other details for the Williams' do you have Al?
I have a William Williams born 1841 Llangristiolus married Emma born 1843 Llanfaelog. I have been unable to go any further back as there are so many Williams' in that area. I think Williams mother was named Anne but not sure about his father though his eldest son was named John

Carol,
The details are sketchy but Margaret Jane had two brothers Philip Owen (1873) and Thomas John Owen (1870). The family were ferrymen (lived in the Ferrryhouse)and operated a ferry between Tal-y-Foel (Anglesey) and Caernarvon. Philip went off to become involved in the Drapery business and died unmarried in 1953 in Hendon. Grandfather Thomas married Grace Mfyanwy Lewis in Liverpool in 1901 The Lewis family originated from the Garnon Street area of Caernarvon.
I think her father Owen Williams (1838) had a brother William (1837) and three daughters Lydia (1845), Rebecca (1850) and Margaret (1841). I think Lydia died in 1855 and Rebecca in 1856. I have no idea what happened to William or Margaret.
Assuming its the correct family I found them in the 1851 census at Llangeinwen. It suggests father was John (1810) born at Llanallgo, and his wife Margaret (1808) born at Llangadwaldr. So far I have not had any opportunity to try and trace any of these people and as you say there are so many Williams's in the area.
Will these details help

Thanks but I don't think its the same family. My Owen Williams died in Llangeinwen, Anglesey in 1898.

Margaret J Parry, the daughter of Owen and Jane Williams
of Foel ferry, Llangeinwen, was buried on 29 Dec 1950
aged 82 at Capel Dwyran.
There is a possible match with a marriage registered in
the June quarter of 1911 at the Caernarfon registry
(which includes the parish of Llangeinwen) between
Thomas Parry and Margaret J Williams. Reference
Carnarvon 11b/755 at the GRO.

Bob,
How on earth did you find this information? - I have wondered if my grandfathers sister ever married or had family. Her brother Thomas John Owen Williams went to Liverpool and died there in 1941 - I had no idea what happened to Margaret.
Thank you so much - you have solved a big mystery for me - I now need to get certificates etc and try to find the family (if they had any)

I am looking for William Williams (1776? ) who married Mary Edwards.( 1786? )
They had three children I believe one was a daughter Ann Williams ( alias Edwards ) born 1822 Llanfechell, Angelsey
Ann was sent to Van Diemen's land 1842 where she married another convict George Robert Couth West 1847/8
Is there anyone researching this family? - there are so many Williams and all use the same christian names - one would think they would connect somewhere.
