Title: 1841 census look up - Miller LOOK UP COMPLETE
Post by: tobyjug on Sunday 02 July 06 18:10 BST (UK)
I'd be really grateful if someone could try to locate a Thomas G Miller on the 1841 census (or indeed ANY census).  He was born in Liverpool although I don't know what district.  He married in 1856 and was of "full age" so I suggest a birth date of 1830 to 1838.  His father was John Miller who may have been a ship's steward.
I can only find a reference to Thomas' marriage on the Isle of Man in 1856, when he was a steward aboard the "Marco Polo" and his father's occupation was ship's steward.

Thanks so much mo-jo.
This may be the one.  I won't really know until I find information further on in his life.  I've found a reference to his baptism and obviously his marriage if he is the right one (and there are not many Thomas G.s about).  I suspect he jumped ship in Australia during the gold rush as there doesn't appear to be any reference to him in Liverpool after he married my G.G.grandmother on the Isle of Man.
