Hi,
I am in need of help with the following family as my research has come to a complete standstill. I have been trying to trace the O'Hanlon family of Belfast, but have reached the point where my James O'Hanlon could be any of four candidates in the birth registers.
I would really like to get in contact with any O'Hanlon families in Belfast or those who might be related to Martha Russell. It is also possible that the Franky Corr listed below is also still alive and it would be nice if someone knows him, if he could contact me.
I have a birth certificate for Patrick O'Hanlon born at 43 St Dock St, Belfast on the 30th June 1939 to James O'Hanlon and Martha Russell.
And a marriage certificate:
Church of St Patrick's, Belfast
14th July 1923 James O'Hanlon aged 20 Bachelor and labourer of Exchange Street son of James O'Hanlon Labourer and Martha Russell aged 17 spinster and spinner of 8 Portland Street daughter of Thomas Russell a labourer.
Details of possible living people removed
I am sorry I do not have any birthdates.
James O'Hanlon senior may have been born around 1903-1904 and I have traced four birth entries all with a father called James! I do not know which one is my James, so if there is anyone out there who can help I will be very very grateful.
Many of the O'Hanlon's (James snr, Patrick, Thomas?) joined the Merchant Navy and I am in possession of some of their records. Unfortunately, they do not help with origins.
Many thanks.
PS. I am actually a professional researcher and started this family years a go for a customer, however I have sinced used up any fee she gave me and I am doing this for free for her because I would love to resolve this mystery and help her with it.

Hey there
Just spotted this old post, are you still researching this family? If so i may be able to help. My Gran was O' Hanlon and this is definately her family. The James that Married Martha Russel would be her brother. Her dad was also called James O'Hanlon, he married a Sarah Graham around 1900 and i think they lived in Stanhope Street.

Hi,
James O'Hanlon married Sarah Graham on 28 Aug 1902 in Belfast R. C. Church, Belfast Urban 2.
You should be able to get them on the 1911 census.

I am researching my family genealogy and have O'Hanlons. My Great Great Grandmother was Catherine O'Hanlon. She was born November 30, 1846 in Belfast, Antrim Ireland. She is the daughter of Felix O'Hanlon who was born ca 1818 in Antrim Ireland. Felix Married Rose Ann McKeever in Ireland. They had a son James who was born in 1843 - Catherine was born 1846. Felix came to NYC in the USA sometime in the late 1840's.... On 23 July 1852 Rose, Catherine and James arrived in NYC on the Albert Gallatin. I have been unable to trace any further back on the O'Hanlon family name. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Please contact me if you recognize any of this information. Thanks.

Hi
I am not sure if you are still looking for this, but I think I can help. The details of Franky Corr were removed from your post but my uncle Franky was married a Martha O'Hanlon who recently passed away.
If you want to email me directly we can share info?
Thanks
Michelle
