Title: Kerrison & Abel Families
Post by: keefer68 on Saturday 01 July 06 04:37 BST (UK)
I'm interested in corresponding with others tracing the Kerrison and Abel Families in Norfolk.  My line was from Wymondham between 1787-1850 when they came to the US.  They changed their name here to Carrison.

Could be a small click here, I have a small and I do mean small, connection with one of my tribes,  A Frances Kerrison was baptized 7th Jan 1810 at Attleborough the daughter of Thomas and Mary Clarke, there was an earlier Frances to this couple in 1808 but I assume she must have died, Frances had a base born child John Kerrison in 1834 ( made difficult as in some censuses he takes the name of Seaman who Frances later married)  John married at least twice but it gets very confusing, in 1871 listed as Kereson with three children the oldest Harriet K aged 11,  John was a widower yet in 1861 when he was listed as Seaman he was single!! at this time I gave up !! Frances meanwhile had married Charles Seaman  the grandson of my 4x great grandfather this magical  box says Charles was my 1st cousin 4 times removed ( well I did say small)  the couple sired at least ten more children.
Frances went to her well earned rest in 1887.
