Hello,
I wonder if anyone can do a lookup for me. I am looking for the marriage of Charles Shaw and Mary McEwan in Arbroath on the 13th December,1912.
I would be most grateful for the help,

Hi Forbes,
Yes found it, second this time on Scotlandspeople, it is there.
You had the wrong spelling of Mary's name it's McOwan not McEwan, thats why I couldn't find it the first time. If you think this is the correct one contact me I have all the details for you.

Hi again Forbes I think it is them Charles Shaw was a Ploughman and his parents names are Charles and Mary Shaw nee Milne. Mary McOwan was a domesic servant, do you think this is the correct one. I do have the image if you wanted it but I would need your e-mail address which you could send in a pm?? If you just want the information then I can post it here!!
Let me know which way you want the info ok!!
Oh should have added Charles who marrried, his father also Charles was deceased but he had been a Farm Servant!!

Hi again Forbes,
I think you may have been correct the first time with the name Mary McEwan, the reason I now say this is because I noticed what I feel is an error on the ScotlandPeople webite search.
When you first search it doesn't come up with McEwan at all but when you use soundex it comes up with McOwan as I said before! When you go in and pay to view it changes the name to McEwan, strange yes! but what makes it more difficult is on the actual image you can't tell if its an 'O' or an 'E' it's difficult to tell due to the writting what Mary's surname is. I think it is McEwan and Scotlandspeople have it wrong!!
I just thought I would let you know!! As I said before you can view the image if you like but I am sure it is McEwan.
