Title: Help in tracing an Aunt
Post by: Maddie on Wednesday 21 June 06 14:00 BST (UK)
Hi
This is probably an impossibility but I would like to try & find some info about an Aunt I never knew.

Unfortunately, the only information I have is that she married my Uncle Jess Beament sometime in the 1930's, presumably in Hertfordshire. Her name was Mary & she was from Birr, Offaly.

My Uncle was killed in 1942 during the Far East conflict & apparently Mary returned to Ireland soon after. As far as I am aware there were no children.

Should any one recognize the name Mary Beament I would be very grateful for any help , allthough I don't hold out much hope.

Thanks any way.
Regards
Maddie

Hiya Maddie,

There'd be no harm posting on  Irish Chat-Community Forum .. Offaly.  (http://bbs.mayo-ireland.ie/WebX?14@81.Ggv2aSfG991.0@.ee6b2e6) I don't know if it will be of any assistance to you but there are a few Beaments on the  Genforum Beaumont board.  (http://genforum.genealogy.com/beaumont)

Hi Chris

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll give it a try. I have since found out that Mary's maiden name was Mackey & she married Jesse in 1938 in Watford, so I have a little more to go on.

With regard to the Beaumonts on Genforum, I do visit occasionally just to check but they all spell the name wrong.  ;) Mine originate from Herts.

Regards
Maddie
