Can anyone help me find any details on David Griffiths please
e.g :-
The 1851 Census says he was born in "Llanynys"? Denbighshire
He was 9 at the time of this census
His parents were Robert and Catherine Griffiths
He had a brother John (b) 1834
and a sister Elizabeth (b) 1838
Both were born in Gyffylliog
If possible I would like to know when / where he was married, and who to?
Any children he had (if any), and where I could get the birth , marriage certificates please.
I know this is a tall order, but would be pleased at anything (however small) anyone could help me with.
Yours

Yes it was not very easy at all Tykess,but in the 1881 Census I think your David Griffiths is living with Wife Jane in the Parish of Broughton Denbighshire,with two children,Jane born in Coedpoeth in c 1868,and David born in Coedpoeth in c 1871.David is shown to be born in Gyffeilliog in c 1843,and Jane is shown to be born in Meifod "Denbighshire".In other census years though she is shown to be born in Montgomeryshire.David is shown to be a Coal Miner.In 1891 again in Broughton Denbighshire,David is shown to be born in Ruthin and Jane is shown to be born in Pont Robert Denbighshire,and there is no sign of the children from 1881,but there is an R W Griffiths shown to be born in Broughton in c 1882.David must die between 1891 and 1901,for in 1901 Jane is a Widow living with Robert William her son in Broughton.As far as a possible Marriage,it is almost guessworkbut,there is a possible Marriage of a David Griffiths and a Jane Griffiths in 1865 at Wrexham St Giles see;

The 1871 Census shows another daughter Catherine given as born in Bersham in c 1866,who is not seen again. This time the Family are shown as living in the Parish of Minera Denbighshire. To give you some idea of the locations,Minera,Broughton and Bersham are all within a four mile radius.

Hello Tykess,
Could this be David's marriage?
13 May 1865. Wrexham.
David Griffiths. Full age. Miner. Coedpoeth. Father, Robert Labourer.
Jane Griffiths. Full age. Wrexham. Father, Richard. Labourer
Witnesses. William Abram? and Ellen Jones.
I think you have John's marriage to Elizabeth Powell. If not let me know and I will send it to you.
Paul.

Thank you
Yes that is the David I was looking for
I now have the certificate, which I obtained from the info provided
I also have the marriage of his Brother (my G.G.Grandad), who (as you say) married Elizabeth Powell
Is there any way I could possibly trace their sister "Elizabeth"?
I am hoping eventually to find some living relatives
I also found out that previous to his marriage to Elizabeth Powell, John was married to Frances Jones (whose Father was Richard)
They had a daughter Catherine, who married "Ellis Parry" in 1879
They had a son "John Ellis Parry in abt 1880
I'm not sure how to go about finding people on these later dates.
Any help / advice would be welcome
Thank You
