Hi I seem to have accumalated quite a lot of records, photo's of headstones and burial records for the surname Martin as we have Martin's in our family but I'm sure all these people aren't going to be for my tree.
So if you want me to check to see if I have any of the Martin's that you are looking for, please do ask as I'm more than willing to share this information.
Most of the records I have are for St.James Church, Enfield Highway. All the burial records are direct from the parish records and give ages, abode and burial dates.
Many of the headstones mention other family members
I'm linked to the Martin's this way
Ethel May Smith married Sidney Martin in St. Andrews Church May 24th 1915. Ethel is my second cousin. Sidney died in Enfield 1931.

Hi Jan,
Someone has just drawn your post to my attention!
I have a couple of missing Martins in London, so I'd be grateful if you'd check what you have - just in case!!!
Firstly, Edward Martin, b 1806 in Marylebone. He disappears after the 1851 census, and is dead by 1881, so he could have died any time in that thirty year period. I am very frustrated by my failure to find any trace of him. He could be anywhere - probably not with yours, but you never know!!
Secondly, his wife, Mary Martin, born 1813 in Hull, Yorkshire. She was still alive in 1901, living in Lambeth, and I don't know when or where she died.
Thirdly, their daughter, Mary Martin, born 1841 in St Pancras. As far as I know she became a C of E nun, and I have no idea where she ended up.
Thanks for looking, Jan!

Hi Jan,
I am trying to find anything to do with Esther Martin born 1810c born Ealing. She Married James Hoare 1809c born Willesden and they had a child Hannah (possibly Martha Hannah) born 1845c St. Margaret West. All three are on the 1861 census as living at 8 Market Street, Westminster (St John the Evangelist-Dist 4). Any chance Esther is related to any of your Enfield Martins?

My g-grandfather, John Martin b. 1864, d. Jun 1939 in Enfield. Not sure where buried though.
Emily Martin (nee Savage), John's wife, b. 1864, d. Mar 1940 in Enfield also.

Hi,
I came across Thomas Medcalf marrying Emma MARTIN on 24/10/1801 at St George the Martyr, Southwark. Their kids and grand kids ended up in and around Enfield.

Hello: I'm related to Thomas Medcalf and was trying to confirm that the person who married Emma Martin in Southwark was the same man. Do you have any knowledge of the names of the later decendants of the Medcalf family who lived in Enfield? My great great grandmother was Emma Louise Medcalf, Thomas' grandaughter. Many thanks for any help you are able to give. Linda

Wow! 5 years since I apparently used this last. I guess you have solved your own question already. Many apologies for not answering.
Mary Ann married Joseph Dives in Ware.
Bemjamin married Caroline Moore Warwick and had 7 children. She was a publican and I belive he may have worked on the canal.
Joseph married Anna Georgiana Warwick in 1860.
