I would like to trace descendents or find further information on the following family:
George Hall, a landowner of Athlone, born circa 1730, died 25 December, 1821. George married Elizabeth, daughter of Colonel Forster. Their children were:
1. Catherine Hall, born 1783, died 1874. Unmarried.
2. Elizabeth Hall, born 1789, married a Colonel Maunsell.
3. Forster Hall, married and moved to NSW, Australia and raised a family.
4. Alice Hall, died 16 August, 1833, married Colonel Stace of the Royal Engineers, died and buried on the island of St Helena.
5. Thomas Hall, born 1779. He was a Major in the 67th Hertfordshire Regiment. Thomas sailed for India with the Regiment in 1805. He married a daughter of Surgeon Penfold? WHO WAS SURGEON PENFOLD. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW HIS DAUGHTER'S NAME.
Any help would be much appreicated.

Hello marcgenie,
The Penfold History website has an article about "The Penfold Family of Steyning, Sussex" which mentions a couple of Surgeons. http://penfoldsfineart.com/history.html

Hi there. I am a decendent of Forster Hall, son of George Hall. Our family is still in Ireland. All I have found for Forster is he had one son, Patrick Hall. I'm not sure he married Ann Dunning but there were no more children.
If you have any more information on Forster Hall, that would be fantastic.
Re Thomas Hall (brother of Forster) I don't have anything, but if I do uncover anything, I'll let you know.
Eclipse..
