Hi All
These are my 4x and 3x Grt Grandparents, respectively.
John Barclay (c 1798) & Catherine Halligan (c 1798) m. Co. Tyrone
Son John Barclay (c.1828) m. Ann McCallum in the Spring of 1845 Co.Tyrone
I'm looking for their siblings and parents of any these and wondered if anyone else is researching these names too?
best regards
Seonaig

Hi
I am searching for any information on a James McCallum born 25 Jan 1856 Omagh County Tyrone. I don't have any ancestral information on him at all. I know that he was married in 1879 in Dublin to Anne Jane Donaldson Jeffers and that they both left Ireland to live in Australia.
Is there any connection here to your McCallum?
Sincerely
Jane

Hi Jane
Can I say a huge big welcome to Rootschat!! ;D
Unfortunately, I am having no luck in tracing Ann McCallum further back yet.
John and Ann came to Scotland not long after they were married. I am still trying to find any certs or documentation with Ann's parents on it. All I know is that they were married in Tyrone from one of their children's BC's.
I'm going to the records office next week to look for Ann's DC which is being a bit elusive.
Ann would be about 28 yrs older than James. If I manage to find out any more information I will pass it on to you.
kind regards

Hi,
I wonder if 8 years on, you are still researching these names?
I am directly descended from John Barclay and Catherine Halligan. My mother is Margaret (formerly) Barclay.
Kind regards, Andy
