Can anyone help me to find the following 3 people? They were the first 3 of 5 children born to John Allan & Susan Gillespie at Tamfourhill farm near Falkirk. They are :-
John Allan born 14 September 1873
James Allan born 18 August 1875
Mary Muirhed Allan born 18 July 1877
They can all be found at the farm in the 1891 census, but I can not find them in the 1901 census.
James Allan registered the death of his father in 1910 and was living in Clackmanan at that time.
This is all I have been able to uncover. Any advice or assistance would be most welcome.

I have not as yet found any connection to Denny itself but there is to both Bonnybridge and Falkirk.
My Grandmother was Agnes Gillespie who died in Lime Road, Camelon in 1917.
I had a cousin who was John Muirhead Gillespie who was the third generation to farm at Bonnyfield Farm.
This family seems to have originated in St. Ninians.
If this represents a connection for you or you have questions, please send me a P.M. as I do have a fairly lengthy list of names.
Susan Gillespie was born at Gartclush farm, St. Ninians.
Since the above post in 2006, I have discovered a great deal.
Regards,
Rob.

Have you seen the tree on Ancestry who have this family they show that John Allan died in 1940 in Manitoba Canada. They have a photo of his grave and it states his wife was called Esther
I found a John Allan 21 and Esther Allan 22 on the 1901 census they were living at Inverchallion? Argyll and John is described as foreman of Hotel posting. Esther was born in Polmont.
just noticed various trees on Ancestry show Esther to be Esther Dempster and date of marriage is 30 June 1899 in Argyll
They have Jame's date of death as 1962 but do not state where. You may wish to try and find it on Scotlands peoples website.
None have any info on Mary
Hope this helps

Re the Gillespie's. My Gillespie family immigrated to Hamilton, Ontario about 1905 from BONNYBRIDGE.
It was my ggrandmother Mary nee Duncan Gillespie, widow of James Gillespie of Falkirk. She was a postal carrier. She and her adult children and their spouses immigrated a few at a time to Ontario. i am looking for more info on possibly living relatives from Bonnybridge.
