I know i have posted on this subject before and thank you to everyone who has helped with information so far.
But i am still trying to find out why and when they went to australia - my understanding is that Charles Spencer b approx 1871 with 2 small sons, henry b approx 1889 and Charles b approx 1893 was sent to Australia with money sometime in the late 1890's or possibly early 1900's following the death of his wife marie.

Since my last posting i now have the following information which i believe to be correct:
Charles Spencer married Marie Gray Campbell (says Mary on certificate)
in Quarter 4 of 1892 in Pancras London
she died in Quarter 2 of 1898 Islington, Greater London (marrie Gray Spencer on certificate)
There is believed to be a Scottish connection but i am not sure what.
I have been trying to find a birth for Marie / Mary but have not been successful yet.
Any further information / help would be grately appreciated.

Where did they first live in Australia? This will help you work out which ports are most likely. There is no one index to search, just lots of little ones for the various places so this is important information.

They went to Adelaide as far as i know

http://www.archives.sa.gov.au/readingroom/advice/plistsin.html - then you should check South Australia records first.

I found this information before but hadn't posted it as I thought the year of arrival was a bit late from what you had said and Master H seems to be the younger child and Charles - Farm Hand from Middlesex??? If this is your family they should be in the 1901 census.
Mr Chas Spencer, 3rd class, British, Farm Hand
Chas Spencer, 3rd class, British, Farm Hand, with Chas Snr
Master H Spencer, under 18, 3rd class, British
Arrived 27 Dec 1910, London to Adelaide on the Osterley
There may not be any more information than this on the passenger list. One of my family members arrived Adelaide in 1914 and this was about all I got.
