Title: Burial 1841 - 1851 George Hardy
Post by: hardysearch on Thursday 01 June 06 23:25 BST (UK)
I am looking for the burial of George Hardy occupation Millar born (I think) 25 May 1789 in Middlesex. Last found on census 1841 living with 2nd wife Ann at Robert Street Poplar All Saints Parish.

Ann was noted as a widow in 1851 census. She was living at 9 Victoria Place Poplar.

I have looked at the index for Tower Hamlets Cemetery and I didn't find him listed there - but I was running out of time so it is always possible I  missed the entry.

I am not sure where else he could be so any help with this would be very welcome.

Thank you  :)

Hello

According to the Tower Hamlets council website...

There are no active cemeteries or crematoria in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Mile End Cemetery closed several years ago. Details of graves within Mile End Cemetery may be obtained by contacting:

The London Metropolitan Archives
40 Northampton Road
London EC1R 0HB
Tel: 020 7332 3820

Hope this helps.
