Hi, I am not sure how the Australian census works but I am wondering if some king person would look up a Henry (Son b. 1993) Charles (Brother of Henry not sure of age) and father Charles (Not sure of age but a window).
They came from England in the 1990's after the death of Mrs Spencer.
Any help woud be fantastic.
Henry died in 1915 he was a Trooper, I have his casualty details.
Cheers Lisa

Hi Lisa
Unfortunately there is no Australian Cencus available as they were destroyed after each census was taken.

Do you know how I can find out further details about the Spencer family in question?
The only information I have to go on is the details from the Commonweatlth War Graves.
Cheers Lisa

Hi Lisa
The information you have on Henry may give place of enlistment [which I assume was somewhere in Australia] and other details which may give at least a state to look in.
Other things of help would be middle names, Charles snr's birth date and birth place and when last seen on a British census. When did his wife die exactly?
Hope we can turn up some info for you!

PS
I think the records tell us that there was a child also named Henry and that his wife Gladys was seriously ill at the time of his death from wounds of war. It makes interesting, but sad reading. You will find addresses and other useful information therein which will further your search hopefully.
About an hour after this above search, I have found on the same site digitesed copies for 2 Charles Spencers. It will take a bit of careful reading, but they are clearly related to your Henry. Possibly one is brother and one is cousin. - not sure. The same addresses come up for Next of Kin -Carrington Street Adelaide.
