HI Sharon

I have had a root around

I found a John Huxtable marrying at South Molton (which ain't that far from Barnsatble) June Q 1838 Vol 10 page 351 on the same page is a Mary Tout!!

So that is a possible.
Do you have details of the 1851 Census? I have it if not

Mary 35 b. Bishop Tawton
Ann 12 b. Tavistock

All born in County

at 'Muse' HO107/0221 F9 p 13

hi cal,
thanks for the reply, i think tavistock is mis transcribed as well, as easily done when names are similar.
really hoping someone out there can find johns birth as not having much luck myself.
thanks

As he was born C1806 it is a Parish Register job, which I don't have access to.
Have you contacted Devon Family History and www. devonhistorysociety.org
They may have some ideas

Good luck Sharon
