Is anyone researching Andrew Chalmers (Writer), b.1702 Edinburgh wife. Euphame Rankine Chalmers; married 1725; had 18 children! Sons include - William 1726, Hugh 1730;  John 173;   Andrew 1747;  David 1748?

This is where I am trying to confirm a link with a son John Chalmers married to Beatrice Shearer who's son James Chalmers 1762 ended up on Orkney.
