May be off subject but there was an elderly gentleman called Mr Tooth living in Tettenhall Wood Staffs in the late 1970's.My Mum used to be a home help for him.

Thank you for your message.  I do not know if there is any connection at the moment to the family I am researching.  I know some of them carried on living in the Stafford area.  I will go through my notes and get back to you if I find anything.

Do you know the first name of this gentleman?  Many thanks again

I have had a look at the place you suggested and it is near Wolverhampton.  My family stayed in Burton upon Trent.  So thank you again.

Re the elderly Mr Tooth...unfortunately my Mum did not know his full name.
Completely off track...but I was looking through the names of prisoners executed at Newgate Prison ( for my family research)and came across James Tooth executed 1872...thought I would pass it on.

My great-grandfather's sister Hannah Locker married a John Griffith Tooth b.1854.  They lived in Burton-on-Trent & had a son, Arthur.

Maybe there is a connection with your branch of the Tooth family?

As far as I am away I do not have a John Griffith Tooth in my tree.

The family that I am interested in lived in Hanbury, Tutbury.

Thank you for your response.
