Sooo.. was Herbert the illegit son of sister Mary or the legit son of widowed brother John?? And who did Henry Herbert belong to ??

I also descend from the Pett family of Walpole St Peter. There are many of us in the UK, USA & Australia. Herbert Pett was the son of John Pett, a London docker. John's parents were Charles Pett a butcher & his wife Ruth who are buried in the churchyard at Walpole St Peter.
