I am looking for information on the surname Malaney in andaround the belfast area. If you have any information on this name I would be glad to here from you.

there are ay least two spelling of this name

MALANEY=Roscommon

Mulaney=Armagh

sorry can not find any around Belfast might be worth looking hear

Thanks for the reply, I will check out the link.

Our Malaney's is definitely from Belfast at least 4 generations. It's my mothers mothers line, which to be honest I have only started to look at. The last of my Grandmothers siblings died a few months back and we had planned to go through it this summer once my degree was finished.

Maloney is another variant for Malaney.

I think I will need to do more work on this line before I can realistically post to get some info.
