My ancestors by the name of MURDOCH came from Fife some of them were hand loom weavers and seem to have left when the mills were built, I have got back to the 1700s but have hit a brick wall with one JOHN MURDOCH who married ELIZABETH WILLIAMSON in 1743 I can not find any parents or dates of birth for either of them. ???
