Title: Kirtons Tilehurst New thread Leggy and Ettie
Post by: Vicwinann on Monday 15 May 06 14:48 BST (UK)
Quote from me re: thread Berkshire Interests to Leggy and Ettie,
" I too have those Kirtons on my tree - not as a direct descendant - and I would also like to compare notes.  However, I do think that we need to start a new thread entitled Kirtons.  I will do that in a few minutes if my changing the subject heading here doesn't work.  I have the John Kirton 1818 line back to 1613 with many side branches.

Hi again,
I seem to have made a right pig's ear of sending a message about the Kirtons and attempting not to get it all muddled up with other families in Berkshire.

Maybe we can now start afresh.
Regards

Hi there!
Good idea to keep Kirtons seperate-so very many of them! As you probably saw in my message to Ettie, my(paternal) g grandmother was Sarah Kirton, daughter of John and his 3rd wife Mary. I have 2 contacts who are tracing the Kirton line extensively and keep me up to date but sometimes its hard to get it into context without losing track of my direct line-(if you know what I mean!) What is your connection to the Kirton/Kerton/Kurton/Curtains?!!

Lynn.
