David Polhill GREENE Artist/Verger of Somers Chapel in St Pancras, who died in 1854.

His Father - also David Polhill GREEN(E) - lived in Sevenoaks, Kent at one time, so if he puts in an appearance, I would love to have details.

The main Surname is Schmalcalder but there has been so many Variants and miss spelling's, ( Smallcalder present Day - Smalcalder, Smechelder, Schmallialder, Smallcolder, Schmalealder just to name a few) They all lived in the Middlesex area from well the earliest recorded death was Charles Augustus Schmalcalder Dec 1843.

Robert (died abt 1769), Joseph (died 1858) and William SHields (died after 1901-1915).: All lived in the East Riding of Yorkshire in the area of Bilton, Hull and Owthorne.

Hancock
Thomas Hancock died 1867 in Spilsby, Licolnshire

Nixon
William Nixon died 1879 in Broughton by Brigg, Lincolnshire (or any WIlliam Nixon in Broughton or Messignham Lincolnshire as I can trace them back to 1660)

One tip, as this often happens to me also, is to click on the 'show replies to your posts', located at the top of your page on the right hand side (it's in red writing, well it is on my page) this will give you a list of all the threads you're interested in and any replies that have been posted.

Catherine will not be able to supply you with a copy of the Will. The resource she uses is only an index and indicates where a copy is being held.
I have search for your man on the PRO for Wills proved at Canterbury and there is none recorded for the year.
There are many Stace's listed and you may find other family members Testaments.
Search also Wills proved at York

It would be fabulous if you found a will about 1750 which named Robert Meggison of Sedgefield as beneficiary. Robert was born about 1730 and I can't find his parents. Robert raised his family in Sedgefield area and his descendants spread out to Morpeth, Sunderland, and Yorkshire. I think Robert's parents could be Thomas Meggison and Alice Bell. Robert's first wife was Hannah someone married about 1758 and his second wife was Jane Davison in 1773. Hope you find something.
