Title: Cornelius Hall - Thornton Curtis?
Post by: Yorkshire Drones on Monday 18 October 04 16:05 BST (UK)
Cornelius Hall's marriage certificate shows his place of birth to be Thornton Curtis circa. 1798.

He married Charlotte Atkinson (from Saxby) in Barrow on Humber on 16 May 1826.

If anyone is able to help me trace him, I'd be very grateful.

Are you still after this?

Charlottes a widow in 1851, so you could do with an 1841 lookup maybe for Cornelius....

ps. I've got North Lincs Halls in my family tree, but there seem to have been thousands of them!!  ::)

Cornelius's birthplace is the current puzzle.  There are a few family graves in Saxby All Saints and Barrow on Humber.  I've not found him in the parish records of Thornton Curtis, his claimed birthplace.  Could be Saxby, could be Barton - but then it could be anywhere as the family wasn't scared of travel.

:D Thank you for your tips!
