Hi there was a Mary Jane Proud baptised @ St Bartholemew Thornley ( the Thornley next to Tow Law ) on 21st Dec 1862 to a Robert and Jane Proud (Innkeeper) of Thornley Pit House
Earlier what may have been this couple had Hannah a dau baptised 6th Jan 1861 to Robert & Jane Proud (farmer) of Thornley
