I have a probable William Taylor in 1871, but since there are three in the vicinity fairly close in age I would have preferred to know his father's name from the marriage certificate, which you don't as yet have. I think this one is quite likely, judging by the occupation of the father and William

There is a christening on the IGI of Hannah Taylor 2nd August, 1874 Ironville, to parents William and Mary Ann Taylor.
Also a birth for her June Qtr 1874 Belper Derbyshire 7b 566
Belper would be the registration district I think for Alfreton. You could order the birth certificate online from www.gro.gov.uk with the proviso that the parents were William and Mary, the cost is £7 but if they are the wrong parents they will refund you part of your money, and just keep part for a search fee. If this is the correct Hannah it will give you Mary's maiden name which will help you find their marriage.

Yes I do have the 1861 but would prefer you to confirm the family with parents details through birth and marriage records also since we could be following the wrong family. I'll try and find them later in the 1891 and 1901 censuses if possible and if we can find a date for Annis that is an unusual enough name to hopefully be able to find her birth reference.

Now unless Annis is a common name in the area, it seems coincidental that living in the same dwelling but a separate household is

Judging by the difference in age of Joseph and Hannah, it is possible that Joseph was married previously. In 1841 the ages were rounded to the nearest 5, this is possibly him.
1841 Riddings, Alfreton
Joseph Taylor 30 Labourer born in County
Ellen 20 Not born in County
Ellen 1 Not born in County
HO107/193/4 Belper Alfreton Folio 11 Page 16
All of this is supposition and you need to confirm your William's father by the marriage certificate and to do this you will really need the birth certificate so that you know his wife's name.
Good luck
Mary

Just to let everyone know i have received the certificate for Hannah and her Mothers maiden name was Toone (i think) but was lead to believe from a cousin that it was O'toole /Toole but iam sure it says Toone .I have tried to find a marriage for Mary Ann Toone/O'toole/Toole to a William Taylor but have been unsuccessful .Their marriage i would think would be around 1872/3 as their first child was born in 1874
Many thanks
Rachie
