Title: Nathaniel Underwood
Post by: reddaisy on Tuesday 25 April 06 20:47 BST (UK)
Does anyone have any info about Nathaniel Underwood, born in Gratwich in 1797? His father was called John Underwood and was a publican. I do not have his mother's name.

Hello!

I've only just come across this website & have found your interests.  I'm descended from Henry Underwood b. 1862 (he's my GGGrandfather).  I don't have much to add - although I can send you a scan of Nathaniel's apprentice indenture! - but it would be cool to make contact with a cousin.

Kind regards,

S

Hi Spindle,

Welcome to Rootschat.

Reddaisly does not appear to have been on Rootschat since January 2008.  Just thought I would let you know in case you have not found how to access member profiles yet.

Cathy ;D ;D

Hi Spindle

I'm a new member too - and a cousin by the looks of it! Henry Underwood was my GGGrandfather  :D

My brother has researched the line back to Francis Underwood (via Nathaniel), born around 1720. I don't think he has the indenture certificate you mentioned, so I would be very interested in seeing it!

Regards,

G

Hi S

;D You're spot on! Sorry, can't use the PM reply facility yet, I think cos I'm too new. But yes I remember Chris meeting your mum - I think I was involved in a bit of email-forwarding at one stage!

Glad to have made contact with you, despite being no use  ;)

Best wishes

G
