Hi from Australia!
I'm new to this board, but have already had some terrific help from others researching Irish ancestors in Ballincollig, Cork, Ireland, so I thought I would reciprocate by offering any assistance I can to others here.
I am no expert, but have managed to get back to the late 1700s on many of the ancestry lines for myself and my wife. The list below gives the names/locations of those I have been researching. If any of the information I have can help someone else I am happy to share it.
And of course, if anyone has information that might help me, I would be happy to receive it! :)
Regards
Mike

Hi Mike
Welcome to Rootschat :D
I do have Allsop(p)s but they are from Wirksworth Derbyshire and then Uxbridge, Middlesex - no Essex or Surrey connections as yet. If you haven't already, why not post your surnames here as well

Happy hunting

Thanks, Jan - I finally figured out how to include my surname interests under all my posts, but I'm still finding my way around the Roots-Chat site. Thanks for the link - I'll post them under the surnames list as you suggest.
(Haven't figured out yet how to include an avatar pic on my posts, though!).

Hi
I notice you have Jessimans from Scotland in your research. Where in Scotland are they from? The Jessimans I am starting to research come from Aberdeenshire. Any connection?

Hi Mike
Thank you for your kind offer.
I noticed you have the surname MARK in your list in Scotland. I have some of these in my tree, but all quite recent (last 50 or so years) so am not posting names. Could you let me know what dates your MARK's are.
Thanks again

Hi Mike and Higgsy,
I have Jessimans in Huntly, have you by any chance come across any from there yet..??
-
Hi,
I have a Margaret Jessiman born 25/05/1838 daughter of William Jessiman and Isobel Mckay in my tree.
I do believe there are heaps of Jessimans in the Huntly area. William and Isobel had at least 7 kids
Do the above names ring any bells
regards
Higgsy
