Hi K
I don't have full index facilities for Victoria, but a quick look online shows an Ann  (or Annie) Vann may have died in Vctoria in about 1967.
somebody may help with more details, but search through here.

http://www.dvc.vic.gov.au/web14/dvc/dvcmain.nsf/headingpagesdisplay/births+deaths+and+marriages

Do you mean that the children came to Aust. with her?

There are a number of Vanns in the whitepages for South Australia, who could be descendants, assuming Annie Vann's children came here also.  It would be very unlikely she came as an immigrant at her age, unless she already had family here.  Why not write to some of the Vanns in the whitepages to see if they are related?  Just Google 'whitepages Australia' and go from there.

Hi Karen,

Looks like my housekeeping has brought you back to this. Will move back to active board.

I can't see any record in SA (No death listed) apart from the immigration to Adelaide. Ann travelled alone.

Departed London 11 Nov 1957 aboard the STRATHMORE

VANN Ann E b 29 Dec 1898, single, Address in UK 43 Bloomhill Court Woodford. She was a Housewife. She had a UK passport, Country of last permanent residence England, planned permanant residence (of at least 12 months) in Australia

Cheers Kris  :)

Hi,
although there does not seem to be a passage showing for Annie's daughter Betty, I can see a..
PETER BREEDEN born 1928 to Adelaide from Cardiff in 1957.

Possibly more details about this are available.

Annie's daughter was Betty (Ann Elizabeth) Breeden(nee Vann) and her husband was Peter  CAROLINA
