Title: 1841 Census - Faversham
Post by: sarajane on Tuesday 18 April 06 16:18 BST (UK)
Hello

I'm looking for Mary Buesden who would be about 40 years old.
In 1851 she is listed as a widow, with 2 lodgers, and her occupation is noted as 'Formerly a Servant', she was born in Milsted, Kent.
1851 ref: H0107/1626 folio 327 page 18

Many thanks

Sarajane ;D ;D

Faversham is spread over 3 discs,so without more information it would be impossible to find her without a 41 reference. There are complete name indexes available on line e.g www.TheGenealogist.co.uk

Hi Sarajane,
Luckily she didn't move house between the two censuses:
ref HO107 472-19 folio 10 page 14: West Street, Faversham (1841)
Mary Buesden age 35 ind
James Waterman age 30 tailor
William Bailey age 30 woolsorter
all shown as born in county

James Waterman looks like a 'permanent' lodger, as he was still there in 1851. No sign of a husband for Mary I'm afraid.

xx Carol
