Alan Pointon wrote a wonderful book called "A Brown Edge History",
a must for anyone with Staffordshire Brown Edge ancestors. Try as I might I've not
been able to find anyone who has a copy for sale as it is out of print.
Does anyone know of a shop still holding a copy for sale?

Hi Shadrach
Have sent you a pm with the details of where to get the book
regards ricky

Thanks Ricky, hope you got my email reply.
My understanding is that the book is out of print and
that Churnet Valley books do not have any copies but
are totally out of stock.
I will definitley get in touch with them once again but
in the meantime, any other suggestions please?

Hi
Try the Keele University Library which has many history books or Hanley Reference Library, Stoke on Trent. If you are successful in this you can always borrow it then you can always photocopy the pages for reference/research purposes so long as you follow copyright rules.
Unless of course you have already read it and want to own the book for yourself!

Dear Gareth,
The problem is that I live in Australia.
Since starting to research our family history a few years ago
I have found that we have very strong links to Brown Edge and
would love to own a copy of the book but much searching has failed
to find a book store with a copy for sale.
Many thanks

I believe that there has been a reprint (2022) and that is available on Amazon
