Title: Hunt death

Hello,

I'm trying to find the family of Tommy (Thomas) Hunt. I have nothing to go on apart from the date of his death on the Isle of Man. He died 4/12/1961.
Any information would be great even his age at death then I could trace his birth date.

Hi,

I had a look on Brian Lawson's site (www.lawsons.ca) on which he has transcribed the index to burials on the IOM.  Unfortunately your Thomas doesn't appear in it.  See http://www.lawsons.ca/burials/bur_indx.html for what is and isn't included on the index (perhaps he was cremated at Douglas or is just one of the "missing").  Or perhaps he was only visiting the IOM and was taken back to UK for burial.

Have you tried for a death certificate from the IOM?  You can apply at the IOM civil registry - http://www.gov.im/registries/general/civilregistry/welcome.xml

Hello Ruth,

Thank you for going to the trouble of looking.
Although Thomas died on the IOM, I rather suspect he was buried elsewhere.
I will do as you suggest and get a death certificate.
