Title: Irving, Martin
Post by: margrace on Sunday 09 April 06 15:00 BST (UK)
William Irving married Margaret Murray in 1865, their daughter Janet married James Martin in 1902.

I believe it is their son who is written up in this newspaper article in 1938. "If Willie Martin accepts the Shawfield Club's offer, he will become the highes paid footballer in the county" May 8, 1938.

This is all the information I have on this family. Does anyone recognise this Man.

Another Daughter of William Irving, unnamed, was a school teacher at  in 1901 at Bankskill, Lockerbie.

Another son of William must have had a Pidgeon Loft. He won Best Performance 80th Prize 1936. 4500 Birds completing from Rennes France.

Is any of this familiar to anyone in Lockerbie.

In 1971 there were still Irving descendants living in Lockerbie.

Any help in locating any of these families would be much appreciated.
Thanks
