I have two Evan Evans' in my line (father and son) both from Treharris. Evan (snr) married Catherine and had at least two children Evan and William Richard (b circa 1901). Evan (jnr) and William migrated in 1949 to NZ and Australia respectively.
I seem to remember William (with wife Rachel, and children Glenys and Russ) was a caretaker (?) at the Masonic Hall. Evan served in WWI so he must have been born before 1895.
Happy to chat further if there is a link.
Nos da.
