Sorry to both of you. I leaned on the keyboard and my last message got sent before I could apologise for not responding earlier.

Since Tattersall is being asked about, I am trying to get information on George William Henry Tattersall, who married Emily Cliffe in Bury in June 1884. He was known also as 'Judd' Whittaker, the reason being a mystery. His son was called Robert Tattersall and he was born in 1886. Robert married Sarah Byrne in Bury

Re Emily Cliffe is she from Manchester? if so could be one of mine, also re Jud men called george are still called Jud in manchester. Vic Cliffe

Hi Wack & Vic
I have a William, a Henry and a George in my tree but none appear to be related to you.
My 2 x gt grandfather was John Tattersall born 1810-20 Haslingden married Maria Bridge in Bolton 1834
They had children Thomas, William, Henry, John and Robert.

Hi Vic
I'm not sure where Emily Cliffe comes from. My mum seems to think there was a connection with Rawtenstall via the Whittaker name
and Jud, also a connection with Henry Trickett the local shoe tycoon
