Baxsco,
I just replied to Shanko's Posting regarding the name Christie in Ellon.  (see it for further info) My gggrandfather remarried a Margaret Christie circa 1852.  She was 42 in the 1861 census and gave her birthplace as Old Deer, Aberdeenshire.
Good luck,
Union Jack

We also have Christie's in Aberdeen and area, which showed up as Chrystie  in the 1871 census. I had never seen this spelling before, just Christie.  Living in Hawick were Isabella (b Fairbairn), widowed, age 43, with her children James 13, Elizabeth 11 and Annie 7.  James is my husband's gggrandfather.

Any connections?
