I have a marriage certificate from 1948 but I am not sure of the name of the church. The church is in Broxwood Pembridge. Does anyone know if it is the church of the holy trinity or church of the holy family, I cannot find any information on either!
Thanks, Annette.

This is a Catholic Church attached to Broxwood Court, the home of the Snead Cox family.

Thankyou, you have solved two mysteries for me at once as we also thought that the certificate read Broxwood Park (where my gran was living at time of marriage) now we now that its court.
Thanks again, Annette.

It's a redundant church now, converted into a house.

Hi, I am interested in this, as my great-grandparents were married in 1864 in "the Roman Catholic Chapel in the District of Weobley". My gr.grandfather lived"near Pembridge" and his bride was a servant at Broxwood Court. Quotes are from the certificate. I wondered if the marriage took place in The Chapel of the Holy Family, which is now a private house. I am trying to find in formation on this through Herefordshire Archives.

This is likely to be the Roman Catholic Church of St. Thomas in Kington Road at Weobley, Broxwood closed in 1835 apart from occasional masses. But as the bride gives it for her place of work I may be wrong. Try asking the Registration Service in Hereford, based at the Town Hall if they can throw any light on this from the Register itself.

Thank you for your message, Puffcat. I had forgotten to change my e-mail address, so the message did not come to me and I only found it by chance. I am so grateful for your input here and will contact the Register Office. Many thanks.
