Title: 1841 Census Middlesex Lookup Request - LIEBRECHT

Would appreciate a lookup for LIEBRECHT (may be LEBRIGHT or LEDBRIGHT) probably Bethnal Green - Henry b. 1814, John Daniel b. ?1816, Theophilus b. 1819 and Ebeneezer b. 1824. Birthplaces could be Bethnal Green or Stepney or Whitechapel

I do have this but many thanks for sending it to me. From the index of the 1841 Census I also eventually found "Henrry LUBRECHT" in Bethnal Green and John LIEBRECHT in Kent with the 96th Foot.

John (Daniel), Henry, Ebenezer and Theophilus (my g-g grandfather) were brothers.  The correct spelling of the surname is LIEBRECHT (back in 1786) but as you can see there are several variations. I have not been able to find Theophilus in the 1841 Census - in 1838 he, also was a pawnbroker's clerk (records of the Old Bailey show him as a witness in a theft case) so he should be somewhere but I have not been able to find him in the indexes. Any possibility that you might be able to find him - probably in the Bethnal Green area. In 1842 he joined the 50th Foot so he has to be somewhere in the 1841 Census.

Had a really good look and can't find him.

Two possibilities:

He was missed off completely (not at home on the night and where he was didn't record him)

Maybe he was in part of Middlesex where the census doesn't survive

Like to ask one more favour. Could you see if in the 1841 Census you can find a Mr Saunders, pawnbroker. Sorry I do not have his first name. Probably in Bethnal Green/Whitechapel area. This is where Theophilus was living and working in 1838.
