I'm looking for a family by the name of Welldon on the 1851 census.
I am specifically looking for a Mary Jane Welldon who was the daughter of James. I believe they were living in Deeping St James. Mary Jane would have been born in approx 1837/1838.
Any help on this would be much appreciated. The 1841 census would be a bonus.
Thanks

I am descended from James & Ave Maria Welldon (nee Johnson). As far as I have been able to find out, they had 8 children- Mary (1820), William (1822), John (1824), James (1826), Thomas (Feb 1829 - 6 Jan 1914), Ann, (1830), Sarah (1833), Mary Jane (1838). I am the g-g-g-granddaughter of Thomas.

Richard,
I have researched back on the Welldon line to a William Welldon who was born in Jan 1708 in Deeping St James. He was the son of John Welldon. From William I have 1,919 descendants. How are you related??? And what research have you done?? I am happy to share any information.

Hi Karen,
I am descended through Mary Jane Welldon (born 1838) to James and Ave Welldon. She married William Perkins a thatcher from Market Deeping in 1855 at Deeping St James. They had 9 children, including my gt gt grandmother Jane Perkins.
Would love to see what research you have done on the Welldon family.
