Hi,
I wondered if someone could possibly point me in the right direction :)
My Great Great Great Grandfather James Caley came from the Isle of Man to Liverpool, unfortunatly I dont know when :( however he married a Liverpool lass called Frances Ann Coombs and they had 6 children, the first of whom was my Great Great Grandfather Joseph who was christened in 1838. I'm not sure where or when James was born in the Isle of Man, I have looked on familysearch.org and found the following entries :-
JAMES CALEY - International Genealogical Index / BI
Gender: Male Christening: 13 NOV 1803 Lezayre, Isle Of Man, England
2. JAMES CALEY - International Genealogical Index / BI
Gender: Male Christening: 01 OCT 1809 Lonan, Isle Of Man, England
3. JAMES CALEY - International Genealogical Index / BI
Gender: Male Christening: 28 FEB 1810 Ballaugh, Isle Of Man, England
I know he came form the Isle of Man as this information is on one of his childrens birth certificates and in the 1881 census and he was a joiner by trade.
Does anyone know if there are any Ship passenger lists from the Isle of Man to Liverpool ?
Any help would be most appreciated
Clare

there are no such records - only in last few years with new health & safety legislation (+ possibly under anti Irish terrorist leglisation) have passenger names been taken
can remove two possibilities - see www.lawsons.ca for burials James born 1809 bur Lon 1834-05-02 age 26
james born 1813 bur Bra 1843-11-16 age 30
leaves James born 1810 to Thomas + Margt Cowin
+ James born 1803 to Ewan + eleanor Cretney
