Nearly all of my family come from the Derby / Notts area - hence, I am somewhat lost down in Devon.
But, my 3xG.Grandfather was one SAMUEL GRIBBLE - born abt. 1791 in Woodlands, Devon - parents BENJAMIN GRIBBLE & SUSANAH EGBEAR.
I know that Woodlands is nr. to Ashburton but seem unable to find out much else about this family.
I would love to know anything at all abt. Benjamin & Susannah and also if they had more children than just Samuel.
Should anyone have access to relevent records and be able to help me out, would be very grateful...
Thanks in advance if anyone can shed any light whatsoever on this family..

Hi, i too have found Gribble ancestry just this week. i received a marriage certificate from the General Records Office, and have my GGGrandfather THOMAS HENRY BEAL, marrying VIOLET MAUD GRIBBLE in Exeter Register Office in november 1889.
I also have the Death certificate for ELIZA GRIBBLE in 1925 in Bristol, she was a spinster who had been the Sister in Charge of 'EXETER HOSPITAL FOR THE INSANE ' at Heavitree. My grandfather Thomas Henry Bale was present at her death.
Obviously there is a tie-in with the Bale/Beal family with the Gribbles!...do you have any links?
