This might be Charles - read about Balliol College, Oxford http://www.balliol.ox.ac.uk/history/miscellany/blundell/index.asp
Blundell Fellows
The Fellows of the College on the Blundell Foundation are listed below, with the dates of their election to the Fellowship. Most of them were previously Blundell Scholars (about two out of three of whom became Fellows until 1852). Some died young, or left no trail which is obvious, but the majority of them, like Domus Fellows of the College, spent the greater part of their lives as incumbents of country parishes.
1816 Charles [Trelawney] Collins

Collins, Charles Trelawny. A Farewell Address to the Parishioners of Pennycross ... on resigning the curacy of St. Pancras Chapel. W. H. Luke: Plymouth (1868) pp. 23. [BL 4372.b.13.(9.)]
More about him here http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~valhender/dirtrans/mor1870/westnpev.htm
He appears to have written a book http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0008C75JY/102-1143076-5376923?v=glance&n=283155
Information about his Church http://www.plymouthdata.info/CH-StPancras.htm including
The local Squire, Mr George Collins of Ham House, was largely responsible for the replacement building, which was in the shape of a Greek cross. It re-opened for services on Sunday August 26th 1821. George Collins' son, the Reverend Charles Trelawny Collins, was appointed as a Lecturer and later Curate, in which post he served for over 40 years.
and also http://www.plymouthdata.info/PP-Trelawny.htm shows how he came by the name
After his father died, in 1826, he added the Trelawney name as a surname by royal licence dated November 26th 1838. He was first the Lectuer and later the Curate of Pennycross Church from 1821 until 1868 and giving his death date as April 19th 1878 at Ham.
Mary Trelawney was an only child. When she married George Collins of Kenilworth in Warwickshire in 1784, she took with her the inheritance of the estate at Ham, where they took up residence. Born in 1762, he was at the time of their marriage a Captain in the Royal Marines.
The death of his father ? Lieutenant George Trelawny Collins - killed at the storming of Badajoz - 6th April 1812. Aged 24. From Ham, Devon http://members.tripod.com/~Glosters/PenC.htm
So I think all in all, Charlotte is possibly his wife Elizabeth although I haven't as yet found a marriage for him - may have been in London or Oxford.

Thanks a million Mary A. You solved within an hour what I had struggled with for 6 months. 2 visits to the British Library & one to Public Record Office. Only joined Roots Chat yesterday & I'm really impressed; had some wonderful help. I Knew a Bill Lunt, Motor Caravan Club member from the north, we live in Surrey.
Sincere Thanks Vesta
-
Oh well, you should know even after this short time that Rootschat is the best!
You now have the problem of proving who Charles married, I'm betting on an Elizabeth Charlotte or vice versa something, but didn't find any mention of her when I googled his name ...... maybe you should try her name and see if anything comes up.
Both my dad and brother are Bill Lunts but unfortunately neither belonged to the Motor Caravan Club, however I'm sure the one you know is a lovely guy - he has the right name. ;)
Don't forget to let us know when you find the marriage.
I wonder if it would benefit you to post another look up request for the 1841 census, if there were any children they might show up there whereas they didn't in later years, and anyway it'll be good to narrow things down a bit more.

Thanks again.
Charles Collins Trelawny M.A. Curate of St Pancras Chapel married Elizabeth Ayliffe in 1831 Ref British Library. I have no children as yet for them.
Both the refs I have for Charlotte C. Trelawny born 1809 Widow in 1881 make me feel she could have married another son of George Collins. The C. in her name might stand for Collins????
I don't quite see how Lt. George Trelawny Collins killed 6th April 1812 age 24 therefore born 1788 fits in ?
At some time they seem to have changed from Trelawny Collins to Collins Trelawny. This is not easy! I am learning computing rather late in life & very much appreciate your help. Vesta

You are probably right that the George won't be his father, I must admit I was finding links for you to check rather than adding up dates while I was looking, but he could be an older brother?
Likely right over the C for Collins.
Have you checked for a Will of Charles? By the looks of things there might have been a large number of deaths of the family between 1871 and 1881 and the property must have gone to the next in the family line? That would seem to me to be your next investigation.
Death of Caroline Trelawney Collins March qtr 1873 Plympton St Mary 5b 178 age 82.
Death of Charlotte Trelawney Collins June qtr 1876 Plympton St Mary 5b 167 age 79.
Death of Charles TC Trelawney June qtr 1878 Plympton St Mary 5b 181 age 86
If you carry on this way, you'll soon learn all about computers :D

Thank you very much Mary. I followed your instructions very carefully Have found all the messages & the reply to button. In a moment I will try copy/paste the instructions so I can keep them beside me. Learning new tricks at 70 is not as easy as it was when younger. I will look out for a beginners course. Many Thanks Vesta
-
I'm glad my instructions worked :D :D :D
Now let me know if you find a Will for Charles and bring us up to date with some of these people who just seem to appear on one census and vanish the rest of their lives. ;)

Hi Vesta (and Mary),
I suppose you have already searched http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ for the Trelawn(e)y Collins family?
Among other things I can see this:
CLARKE OF BRIDWELL
Catalogue Ref. 48/8
FILE - Devon Record Office - ref. 48/8/3 - date: 1799
[from Scope and Content] In trust for Mary Trelawney Collins one of the daughters of George and Mary Collins, to be assigned to her when she attains her majority or marries. Reversion of equal shares, if Mary should die while the trust endures, to Caroline Trelawny, Catherine Trelawny and Charlotte Trelawny Collins, daughters of George and Mary, with assignment of each share as each attains her majority or marries and redivision of the shares of any who may die while the trust endures reversion if all die within this term to other children of George and Mary Collins under similar conditions.
Might help sort out who's who?
Tanja :)

Oh that'll help quite a bit, great stuff, that was one site I didn't get to!

There's also a couple of Conveyances by your Charles.
And quite a collection of 20 files comprising material relating to the Trelawny/Collins family of Ham House, Ham, Plymouth. Robert Trelawny, a wealthy merchant, Mayor, and eventually M.P. for Plymouth, built the house in 1639. He had also secured the development rights to an area, including Richmond Island, in New England, America.
Also check this site, some of the documents are duplicates of the National Archives, but sometimes there appears others http://www.a2a.org.uk/

Hi Terry
Thanks for the offer-- I would love a copy of the photos. As you have only 2 posts I cannot send you a personal reply with my email. You need at least 3 posts to receive a private reply. Just write me again. Sorry for slow response-- we came home from holiday last night.
