Thomas died ,age 66, on APRIL 4, 1871 at 101 Lammas Street, CARMARTHEN.
He has at least two children Charlotte Martha (born circa 1828) and Catherine (born circa 1833).

I have some information about an event that occurred with this family:
This incident occurred in 1825 and is recorded on a gravestone in the churchyard of Cilrhedin (where the Jones family usually lived) and also in the Carmarthen Journal of the time:
"Sacred to the memory of William Havard Jones 2nd son of D.W. Jones, Gilvachgam by Charlotte his wife, a very promising youth articled to Thos. Jones Esqr Solicitor Carmarthen in 1822. Unfortunately he went in company with his friends about 800 yds below Carmarthen Bridge on the south side of the river Towy where they entered the tide for bathing, but he was soon sunk and though found in about 20 mins life was extinct on the 20th July 1825 aged 19 years. His parents then occupied a house in Lammas Street, Carmarthen the back premises of which joined the burying ground belonging to the Presbyterians where his remains were deposited in a bricked grave contiguous to the said premises."
I am researching family in Cilrhedin/Cwm cych, Carmarthenshire

Thank you for posting the 1825 gravestone inscription of William Havard Jones.
William Havard Jones’ father D.W. Jones and mother Charlotte may have been married in 1802 according to the IGI listings:
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/igi/search_igi.asp
David Jones
Charlotte Harvad (Harvard?)
Marriage: 05 JAN 1802 Carmarthen Saint Peter, Carmarthen, Wales
Additional IGI records suggest that Charlotte Havard mother’s maiden was “Jeptha” before she married.
CHARLOTTE HAVARD
Birth About 1776 Carmarthen, Carmarthen, Wales
Father: John Havard
Mother: Miss Jeptha
and Miss Jepha’s IGI records show
MISS JEPTHA
Birth: About 1748
Father Thomas Jeptha
Mother: Mary
The information that you provided offers a possible link between Thomas Jeptha Jones ( born circa 1805) and a younger brother of William Havard Jones (born circa 1806 ) who died in a drowning accident at age 19.

Do you know about the parents of David Jones: William and Mary Jones of Gilgachgan, Cilrhedin? They were the grandparents of my direct ancestor, David DAvies, because their daughter Margaret Jones married David Davies' father John David (Davies) in 1796.
The Davies were involved in fulling and dying - they had a small mill in Cwm Cych until 1805.
William Jones had a town house in Carmarthen
My cousin and I are working on the Davies family - we have collected quite a lot of information and are compiling a written family history.

Thank for replying again.
Most of my research pertains in the branch related to Charlotte Martha Jones, eldest child of Thomas Jeptha Jones and Ann Ovenden (married: 07 FEB 1826 Saint Mary, Newington, Surrey, England).
Their daughter Charlotte married William Jowett in Carmarthen in 1854.
William Jowett was a widow with two children, Annie Elizabeth and Frederick, from his previous marriage to Ann Jones (no relations) in Middlesex.
William and Charlotte settled in Swansea and added more children to their family.
Their eldest daughter Annie Elizabeth Jowett married Thomas Stratton in 1868.
One of their grandchildren, Thomas Jeptha Jones was my wife’s father.
While I don’t actively research anymore, I can put you in touch with several other family historians if you are interested in more information about other descendants of Charlotte Martha Jones. :)
