Hi
Can anyone help with info on knokanana?  Hagets Town, Wicklow.
Also Islandbridge all I know is the Kelly Family lived there in a white cottage until they moved to Basin Lane, some of the family born in both districts.

Hi Theresa,

Am working on the placenames in Wicklow which at the moment don't look right to me.

I know of Islandbridge and Basin Lane  in Dublin.

Will keep working on it :)

I have had a e-mail from a friend in Ireland who has the correct spelling for me
Knocknavana is in Wicklow
Hackettstown is in County Carlow
and i have been told that Islandbridge is in Dublin in the Crumblin Area

Glad that you got the Wicklow place-names sorted out.

Crumlin is about a mile and a half from Islandbridge.....were any of your people there?

hi theresa,i replied to one of your cousin kathies  posts about kelly family in island bridge
and said i would ask a relative of mine who was born  brought  up there in the 1930/40s
   if he knew anything at all that would help but can't see which board i replied to so maybe you could pass this on.my brother in law said there where two seperate kelly families in sarah place if thats the part they lived,the parish church for this area changed over the years between chapelizod  and the church in st.james street .'if only' is right crumlin has the district number 12 but as far as i know the district number for island bridge would be 8 .the link below will prove useful  for explaining this.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dublin_postal_districts

hi theresa,had another chat with my brother in law who says the only cottages he can recall
are some in 'hospital lane' islandbridge.
