Hi Runninbear
I have not been on rootschat since I posted my hanson family info
thankyou so much for all the information
at one time i thought the mitchells (agnes hanson and john mitchell) went to whitby but now i have doubts after you put all the census stuff.
i will digest it all
can you help me with something else.
My thomas hanson who appears as head of the household in 1841 is gone by the 1851 census so my guess is he died...his wife mary hanson died in 1859 at 140 high street devonside tillicoultry
how can i find out whe he died?
how can I find out where he is buried?
i know that mary his wife is in the churchyard of tillicoultry no headstone but a 'hamilton is buried in there in the 1860's..dont know the connection with the family though.
cheers
chrissy from oz

Hi Again
I note on the 1851 census for the family entries that Robert Cuthbert Hanson the son of Thomas and Mary Hanson no longer appears with them
In april of 1852 he married jane Frances Nicholson and 3 week s later came to Australia
So my question is where was he in 1851.
Perhaps living with the Nicholson family
do you think
Can you helpl
chrissy
