Hi,
I trying to trace Joseph Malkin b 1795-1806 (differs on censuses)
In 1851 I have him living in Stoke Golding with wife Elizabeth married 1845 Bosworth.
In 1841 I think he married Jane Broughton from Wilnecote but after the census. He was already a widower by the time he married Jane.
My link is to John, b 1826-8 Uttoxeter, the son of a Joseph Malkin, ag lab from Market Bosworth but tying them together is a problem. here's hoping someone can take me a step further as there is nothing on the IGI
Thanks - Jackie

Hi Jackie
There is a Joseph Malkin aged 30 (I think) in Market Bosworth in 1841 - he is at the Farm of Elizabeth Jackson on The Green, Market Bosworth - but there does not seem to be any other of his family members there, just other workers on the farm

Thanks Debbie,
this Malkin link is proving to be tricky. Trying to establish the link to Uttoxeter has not been fruitful - there are too many of them up there. All I know is that Joseph's son John decided to settle in and around Tamworth.
How frustrating that the birth date is later than I would have hoped.
Anyway thanks for looking - Jackie

Hi Jackie - I have looked at that again, the original is very faint the age could be 50 though I still think it looks like 30 sorry
