What qualifications, skills or expertise do you need to be a Moderator for RootsChat
-
I would be interested to know this as well :)
-
The qualities of a moderator on RootsChat are numerous.
Some of these qualities include (but not limited to) understanding, sympathy, good communication, and a sense of humour. They also have to be able to take lots of abuse at times, be totally taken for granted quite often, and willing to work long hours for no pay. ;)
On that note, a little message of thanks to our moderators goes a long way for all their hard and excellent work.
We don't advertise for moderators, rather, they are suggested by other users or invited by other moderators.

I think you`d do a great job, you help so many people now what difference would it make?
-
I've often wondered how moderators were chosen and for what qualities, so thanks, Brian, for raising it, and Trystan for answering! :D
I too would like to thank the moderators very sincerely for all the work they do - often seemingly unappreciated. I appreciate you all!

Sounds like a job description for a mother doesn't it. ;D Can I add my thanks to the moderators for the work they do.
