				Hello
I am trying to find my ggggrandfather Robert Waite on the 1841 Spitalfields or Bethnal Green census. He will have been around 7 or 8, born around 1834. I am hoping he'll be there with his parents so I can get another generation back as I have no idea who his parents were.

ANY leads would be massively appreciated.
 thanks
 Shelley

				Hi Shelley,
There is only 1 Robert Waite living in Bethnal Green, although a lot younger its worth keeping on file.

1841 Census. HO107/694/1/36. New King St. Bethnal Green.
John Waite, 50,  Weaver, all born in county. ##
 Ann             40
 Bird/Bick      14
 Benjamin     12
 Ann               7
 Jane              4
 Robert           2

 ## The pages are very feint, it looks like they were all born in county.

Thanks again for another lookup Cissellby, it's very kind of you to reply. I think he must be linked in some way so will keep with the rest of my notes.

				you beaut
The Robert you found has a mother and father called John and Ann and it seemed too much of  a coincidenec that the Robert I was looking for's first 2 children also had those names. So I have checked back my sources and there is a mistake on the 1871 census returns that I originally got my info from. On the summary page my Robert's year of birth is shown as 1834 but when I look at the actual image of the census he is 32 making him born 1839, and aged about 2 in 1841. It all fits and I have got back another generation. I am so grateful.

 (Does a cartwheel!)
 cheers Shelley
