Hi karencaddy,
I thought you may like to see these entries out of interest.
On the BVRI there is a George Cadey Christened in Cerne Abbas 25 Jul 1847 with parents James and Harriet.
There is a William Caddy and Lucy with a daughter called Helen Christened 4 August 1861 in Burstock, Dorset.
Have you searched the Dorset OPC site, there are entries for the Caddy name entered

Kind Regards,

I, too, believed George to be the son of James and Harriett. I do not know of any personal connexion to this line, but I have some information that I should be happy to pass on. I even know something about George's great great great granddaughter Karen.

Hi Jeremy,
Welcome to Rootschat.
I hope that Karen picks up this message, her profile shows that she has not been active since November 2008. Of course there is so much more information that may be available since the original postings in 2006. Hope you make contact.
Frances :)

I am sending a copy of my message by Royal Mail. In case it is of interest to anyone else, I have a fair amount of information on Dorset Caddys, whether or not I am known to be related to them. I even have some (mainly extractions from national sources) about other Caddys, mostly from Cornwall, of course.

Hi Karencaddy,
My son in law has Caddy connections in Cornwall. If of interest to you perhaps you could you send me a personal message so that he can contact you.
I understand , of course , that Cornwall is not your main interest so in turn will quite understand if you do not wish to do this.
Best wishes,
Toby Webb.

Frances,
I'm sorry to bug you, however I am fairly sure that the photo you have as your avatar/icon is of my great great grandparents! Do you by chance have a picture that is higher resolution than the icon you use? I would love to get a copy. I have one of them in front of their house that I can get it to you for the trouble. I also have pictures of their son Ezra Frances Martin. Could you e mail me, I don't check this forum often.

Thank you so much,
