Hello Peter
I have just discovered that my gggg grandfather was John Gallimore. John's son William Gallimore b. abt 1799 was first married to a Susannah who died 1869 and in 1870 William married again at the ripe old age of 70 to Ellen Bennison. William Gallimore was Macclesfield born & bred and I have found him on the 1851 to 1871. He died in 1877.
I would like to see his entry for the 1841 if possible and also discover whether his father John was listed on the 1841.
I do not know the name of John Gallimore's wife. Wm Gallimore lived at Waters ? *(Is this Waters Green ?) in 1851 and in Commercial Rd in 1861 & 1871. He was originally a silk weaver but by 1861 had changed his profession to hairdresser.
I do not know the surname of William's first wife Susannah. I know she died in 1869 and was born about 1799.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
Unfortunatly there is no name index at the moment for that area of Macc, I have had a look in the Waters and Commercial road but no sign of him, sorry.
I did find a marriage of a William Gallimore and a Susanna Bennison at St Peters Prestbury 3/April/1820.
Looks like he may have married back into the same family.
Goog luck
