Hi

Am looking for any information on a

Joseph Swithin Bernard Gregor O'hare born San Fransico 1871, father John George O'hare.

Joseph immigrated to Leek in Staffordshire in  c1897 to help bulid the Leek monument. He was a stone mason.

Joseph married Mary Ellen Bould at St Mary's Leek in 1898 and had children
Alice Betsy 0'hare 1905
John Edward O'hare 1899
Mary Ellen 0'hare 1900

Shortly after the children were born, Joseph left the family and the story goes that he left the UK.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Looks like Mary Ellen married a Harry Barlow in Leek 1924....

Ellis island has an entry for a Joseph O'Hare arriving in America 1917 age 46....that fits your Joseph.
